Computer is the most wonderful (বিষ্ময়কর) invention (আবিস্কার) of modern science. It is an ultra-modern electronic device of modern technology (প্রযুক্তি). Computer was invented (আবিস্কার হয়েছিল) by the hard work of many scientists. Charles Bavez (চার্লস ব্যাভেজ) is called the father (জনক) of modern computer. He invented the structure (গঠন) of computer in 1833. A computer performs (সম্পাদন করা) three functions (কাজ). It receives data, processes it and at last emits (বের করা/নির্গমন করা) it. Computer is a very useful thing to us. It is used in our daily life for various (নানা রকম) purposes.
It has made a great change in education. Computer is used to diagnose (নির্ণয়) diseases. Now-a-days, computer is used to prepare document and budget and to store information. At Present, computer is used to run mills, factories and industries in developed countries. Cars, trains, and planes are also run by the computer. Computer is being used in space (মহাশূণ্য) research (গবেষণা). In spite of having merits of computer, it has also some demerits. It weakens (দুর্বল করা) the eye-sight (চক্ষু দৃষ্টি) of the operator. The computer is a blessing (আশির্বাদ) of modern science. Today's world cannot be imagined (কল্পনা) without computer. It lessens (কমানো) our labor (শ্রম) and makes our work easy and simple. But computer has not been widely (ব্যাপকভাবে) introduced in Bangladesh. So, Govt. should facilitate (সহজতর করা) its use all over the country.
