Journey By Boat
Journey is always pleasant to all. Among all the journeys, a journey by boat is very interesting to me. Bangladesh is a land of rivers. So it is very easy to enjoy a journey by boat here. Journey by boat is very interesting and enjoyable in our country.A few days ago I made a journey by boat. During the last Autumn vacation one of my friends Karim requested me to attend his sister’s marriage ceremony at Motlob in Chadpur. So I got a chance to journey by boat. I accepted this invitation gladly . Two other friends joined me.
One the fixed day we hired a fine boat. We started our journey from Faridgong launch ghat at 10.am. There were two boatmen. The sky was clear. The river was calm and full to the bream . At first the boatmen plied the boat with oars . When the wind was favourable then they set sail . Soon the boat began to move fast . There were small waves in the river. The boat began to dance with the waves. The boatmen were singing. It was ‘Bhatiali’ song It filled us with joy.
We enjoyed the scenery of the river. We saw many boats big and small plying up and down. We saw some steamers and motor launches plying through the river. Fishermen were catching fish in the river. Boys and girls were swimming. Women were going home with jars filled with water. There were green fields on both sides of the river. Cattle were grazing there.
At last the boat reached Motlob at 5 p.m. We got down from the boat and saw my friend at the boat ghat. He came to receive us. He became very pleased to see us. Then we went with him by rickshaw.
It was the most pleasant journey in my life. I enjoyed the journey so much that the memory of the journey will remain ever fresh in my mind.Share This Post
