Wonders of modern science
Electricity, the first wonder: Electricity (বিদ্যুৎ) is the first wonder of modern science. It is the driving force (চালিকা শক্তি) of modern civilization (সভ্যতা). Electric-power (বৈদ্যুতিক শক্তি) is used for various (নানা রকম) purposes (উদ্দেশ্য). Without it, the advancement (অগ্রগতি) of modern science would not have been possible.
Computer and Internet: Computer is the most wonderful (বিষ্ময়কর) contribution (অবদান) of modern science. it is often (প্রায়ই) considered (বিবেচনা) a substitute (বিকল্প) for the human (মানব/মানুষ) brain. Today there is hardly any sector where computer is not used. If computer is connected with internet, it can work like Aladin's magic (যাদু) lamp (বাতি). Medical science: Biopsy and Ultrasonography (আল্ট্রাসনোগ্রাফি), E.C.G, Ultra-violate ray, X-ray and Penicillin (পেনিসিলিন) etc. Are the wonders of medical science. Many fatal (মারাত্মক) diseases are easily curable (আরোগ্যময়) today because of the invention (আবিস্কার) of science.
Modern communication: science has created (সৃষ্টি করেছে) many wonders (বিষ্ময়) in the field of communication (যোগাযোগ). Telephone, telex, fax, wireless, telegram, e-mail, radio etc. are the popular mediums (মাধ্যম) of communication. They have brought (এনেছে) the world closer to (সন্নিকটে) us. We can send news from one corner of the world to another within a moment.
Mass-communication (গণযোগাযোগ) and recreation (বিনোদন): Television radio, internet etc.-are the main source (উৎস) of mass communication as well as recreation. Television and radio are the popular mediums of communicating thoughts (ভাবনা) and opinions (মতামত). They broadcast (সম্প্রচার) the news of national and international affairs (ঘটনাবলী). They are also the main source of entertainment.
Other wonders: There are some other wonders of modern science. Space (মহাশূণ্য) travel is the most wonderful success of modern science. To land (অবতরণ) on the moon was once beyond imagination (কল্পনা). The invention of nuclear energy (পারমানবিক শক্তি) is another wonder of modern science which is being used in generating (উৎপন্ন) power.
Conclusion: Wonders of modern science are so many that we cannot describe it in short. Modern science is still increasing the number of wonders day after day. It seems that it has started its journey not to be stopped anywhere at any time. We cannot think every moment of our life without science. Scientific inventions have both merits and demerits. It depends on humans to use science wisely for the betterment of society.
