Traffic Jam
Traffic jam means blockade (অবরোধ) of vehicles (যান) on roads and streets. It is a common affair (বিষয়/ঘটনা) in the big cities and towns. Every day the city people have to face this unbearable (অসহনীয়) problem. There are many reasons for traffic Jam. The density (ঘনত্ব) of population is the main cause of traffic jam. The enormous (বিপুল পরিমান) increase in the number of buses trucks, auto rickshaws, and rickshaws is also responsible for this problem. Many unlicensed (লাইসেন্সহীন) unauthorized (অননুমোদিত) rickshaws ply on (চলাচল করা) the roads and streets. The traffic control system is not developed in our country. Many car drivers, bus drivers and truck drivers do not obey (মান্য করা) traffic rules.
They want to drive their vehicles at their sweet will (ইচ্ছামত). Sometimes they are seen parking their vehicles at any place of road in an indiscipline (শৃঙ্খলাহীন) manner, which causes traffic jam. Sometimes the roads and streets are dug for development (উন্নয়ন) work. This is also a reason for traffic jam. Illegal (অবৈধ) parking, unauthorized shops and markets on the road side spaces also cause traffic jam. Traffic jam kills our valuable time and our works are hampered (ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ). The patient going to hospital suffers lot for traffic jam. In hospital even operation is stopped for traffic jam. School boys and girls cannot reach their school in time. The office going people become late to reach their office. This problem can be solved by adopting (গ্রহণ) some measures. Traffic rules should be imposed (আরোপ করা) strictly (কঠোরভাবে) so that the drivers are bound (বাধ্য) to obey them. Well planned spacious (প্রসস্থ) roads should be constructed. Shops and markets should be removed from the road sides. In some places of the cities, the government should build fly-over. I hope this problem will be solved near future as our government is taking all possible steps in this regard (এই বিষয়ে).
