Introduction: Students are the greatest force (শক্তি) of a nation. They are the future leaders (নেতা) of a country. They can build (নির্মান করা) or destroy (ধ্বংস করা) a nation. Hence (তাই/সুতরাং), they play a vital (মুখ্য) role in a society as well as in a county. Primary duty: The primary (প্রাথমিক) duty of students is to acquire (অর্জন করা) knowledge. They should also try heart and soul (মনে প্রাণে) to make themselves worthy (যোগ্য) citizens (নাগরিক). For this, they should use most of their time in properly. They should pay (দেওয়া) attention to study to be well educated.Service to illiterate (নিরক্ষর) people: students can play a role to remove (দূর করা) illiteracy (নিরক্ষরতা) from the society. Students can work for this during their holidays. They can go to villages and make people aware of the importance of education. They can teach them in night schools. (নৈশ বিদ্যালয়)
Service to common people: Student can help the common people in different ways. They can help the farmers by telling them of the need for scientific (বৈজ্ঞানিক) methods (পদ্ধতি) of cultivation (চাষ). They can also help the ignorant (অজ্ঞ) people by telling them of the importance of hygiene (স্বাস্থ্যবিধি).
Service in national health: Students can do a lot for national (জাতীয়) health. In this case (এক্ষেত্রে), female students' role is very important. They can teach illiterate (নিরক্ষর) woman folk how to bring up (লালনপালন করা) their children and take care of their health. Besides, all the students can teach the ordinary (সাধারণ) people how to keep the environment (পরিবেশ) clean. Service in time of natural calamity: students can help the people in distress (দুর্দশাগ্রস্থ) during calamities (দূর্যোগ). They can collect funds (তহবিল) for homeless (গৃহহীন) and penniless (অর্থহীন/খালিহাত) people and take part (অংশগ্রহন) in relief (ত্রাণ) operations (কার্য/পরিচালনা). Through the Red Cross Society, they can take part in humanitarian (মানবিক) work home and abroad. (দেশ বিদেশ)
Conclusion: The students have much to do for the society. Through social service, they can enrich (সমৃদ্ধ করা/বাড়ান) their minds (মন). They can uphold (তুলে ধরা/বজায় রাখা) the image (ভাবমূর্তি) of the nation through (মধ্য দিয়ে) their social service. But they must be careful for their main job, that is, study.
