Dialogue between the son and the father on the importance of having a dictionary

Son : Good morning, father.
Father : Good morning, my son. How is your study going on?
Son : Father, I am facing some problems especially in English. I sometimes become unable to determine the meanings of some words. And thus something remains beyond my understanding.
Father : Why, don’t you use dictionary to get their meanings clearly?
Son : No, father. I have no dictionary. Not only that my friends say that to look up a particular word in the dictionary is really boring. Most of them do not use dictionary.
Father : My son, you are a student. Your foremost duty is to study and to study clearly. If you get yourself half prepared or unprepared in this period you will find yourself in trouble. In respect of learning English you must have a dictionary.
Son : What is the essentially of a dictionary?
Father : The very basis of learning a language is to learn words, grammar, making of words etc of that particular language. And a dictionary contains all those items of a particular language. Whenever  you will face in problem to find out the meaning of some word, you would  look up the word in the dictionary and it would be clear to you. You will get not only its meaning but also its origin, usage etc.
Son : I have never heard such of the importance of using dictionary.  I have just ignored it. I think I would be able to use it properly and thereby I would be benefited. Thank you, father. I will follow your advice toe -toe.
Father : I wish you best of luck. Keep in mind that a dictionary is the best and first guide to help you in learning a language.
Son :  Thank you, for your nice advice.
Father : You are always welcome.
