Prize Giving Ceremony held in Dhaka College
Staff Reporter, 10 March : The prize – giving ceremony of Dhaka College was held on the 8th March in the college campus. The Principal of the college presided over the function. The Director General, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, hounoured the chair of the Chief Guest.
On the occasion of this day, the whole college campus was decorated nicely with colourful flags and festoons. A colourful stage was also set up in the middle of the college field.
The prize-giving ceremony started with the recitation from the holy Quran at 3 p.m. The elites of the city and local people attended the function enthusiastically.
At first the principal read out the annual report of the college. Then some students of the college presented a programme of recitations and physical feats. The programme was enjoyed with clapping. Then the Chief Guest gave away the prizes among the winners. He also delivered a brief speech and advised students to be disciplined and studious. The whole function was applauded by the audience. The function came to close in the late afternoon with a vote of thanks to the Chief Guest and the other participants by the president.
