Mujib Borsho - Paragraph
The government of Bangladesh has been declared the year 2020-2021 as the Mujib Borsho. It has been declared in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was born on 17 March 1920 at Tungipara in Gopalganj. The Mujib Borsho is being celebrated from March 17, 2020. It will end on March 26, 2021. At 8:00 pm, the celebration began with fireworks at many places of the country. Bangabondhu's youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana gave a short speech on the occasion. She recited a poem "Baba" written by her younger sister Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
The UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) also declared to celebrate Mujib Borsho globally along with Bangladesh. The declaration of Mujib Borsho is important because the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the achieving of the independence of Bangladesh. Therefore, the main objective of celebrating Mujib Borsho is to highlight the eventful life of Bangabandhu. Undoubtedly, the celebration of Mujib Borsho brings many positive changes for Bangladesh. Many development projects have been taken by the Government of Bangladeh as a part of Mujib Borsho. For example, electrification of all the villages of Bangladesh, poverty eradication, ensuring ICT facilities to the remote corner of Bangladesh etc. In Mujib Borsho, steps are taken to establish Bangabandhu sculpture at Madam Tuso Museum as well as the UN Headquarters in London. In this way, the celebration of Mujib Borsho has become a part of history for all freedom-loving people in Bangladesh as well as the world.
