Uses and abuses of mobile phone
A mobile phone is an electronic (বৈদ্যুতিক) device that we use in our daily life. It is the greatest invention
(আবিস্কার) of the 21st century. It is a cordless (তারবিহীন) cellular phone which can be moved
from one place to another easily. It is a small telecommunication (টেলিযোগাযোগ) device which the user can bring with wherever (যেখানেই) he goes. As it is easily portable (সহজে বহন করা যায় এমন) with the user so it is called 'mobile' phone to mean 'easily
portable phone'. Nowadays mobile phone is more
convenient (সুবিধাজনক) than Telephone. With the help of mobile phone, a person can
communicate with another person in the shortest possible time. Most of the
people keep a mobile phone with them. Keeping a mobile phone is no fashion
rather (বরং) it is a necessity for many. It is more interesting that
mobile network has been merged (একত্রিত করা/যুক্ত করা) with the internet network. This has opened a new vista (দৃশ্য) to the users (ব্যবহারকারী). A good number of network service
providers (সরবরাহকারী) are
rendering service at a competitive (প্রতিযোগিতামূলক) rate. There are different handset companies
won offer nice handset with new features (বৈশিষ্ট্য). Again the new generation mobile phones are not only used for
communication rather (বরং) those are modeled as to be used for entertainment (বিনোদন). They can be used for listening songs, watching videos and
keeping data. It also provides other services such as text messaging, MMS,
E-mails, Video games, Digital Photography etc. Thus, (এভাবে) mobile phone has become a part and parcel (অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ) of daily life. There are a few drawbacks (অসুবিধা) of using a mobile phone for long hours. It causes cancer,
increases stress (চাপ), hinders (ব্যাঘাত ঘটানো) sleep, and hampers (ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ) thinking power (চিন্তা শক্তি), and so on. Young generation often becomes mislead (ভুলপথে চালিত করা) by using mobile phones. Criminals carry out terrorist (সন্ত্রাসি) activities (কর্মকান্ড) using mobile phones. Despite (সত্ত্বেও)) all demerits (অসুবিধা), mobile phone is considered (বিবেচনা করা হয়) the
blessings (আর্শিবাদ) of modern science. We
have to ensure (নিশ্চিত করা) the use of mobile phones in the right way (সঠিকভাবে). We should not misuse (অপব্যবহার করা) mobile phones and use them as a
blessing of science.
