Lockdown - Paragraph
A lockdown is a restriction (বিধিনিষেধ) policy for people or community (সম্প্রদায়) to stay where they are. The term "stay-at-home" or "Shutdown" is often used for lockdowns. A full lockdown usually means that people must stay where they are and may not enter or exit a building or rooms. People are allowed to go out of the house only for grocery, medical consultation or some emergency situation. When a country is facing riots (রাইয়টস-দাঙ্গা), epidemic, natural disasters or some unexpected crisis, then the government declares a complete lockdown. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the term lockdown was used for actions related to mass quarantines or stay-at-home orders.
It is implemented (প্রয়োগ করা) by someone who is in power and holds the responsibility (দায়িত্ব). The first lockdown during the pandemic (মহামারী) was implemented in Wuhan (উহান-চায়নার একটি প্রদেশের নাম) on January 23, 2020. By early April 2020, 3.9 billion people worldwide (বিশ্বব্যাপী) were under some form of lockdown—more than half the world's population. However, in a lockdown all shops, offices, educational institutions, factories are totally closed except (ছাড়া) for urgent (জরুরী) needs. In lockdown time, people cannot go out of the house without urgent need. Lockdown has good or bad sides. Due to lockdown corona infection (সংক্রমন) has been decreased (কমে যাওয়া). A man who was really busy in his occupation and was not able to spend time with his family, is spending time with his family. Also many people started new business using many online platforms. Also, lockdown played an important role in fixing our environmental issues. Lockdown was a source of great hardship (কষ্ট) for poor countries. Many poor people could not collect their daily need. A lot of people have lost their job and become unemployed (বেকার). Students have suffered a lot due to lockdown. Many students were involved in various anti social (সমাজ বিরোধী) activities (কর্মকান্ড). Despite (সত্বেও) its negative impacts (প্রভাব), it has a great importance.
