The Importance of Moral Values
Moral values are a set of norms (নিয়ম) that help us evaluate (মূল্যায়ণ করা) and distinguish (পার্থক্য) between what is good and bad. These
include (AšÍfz³)
being honest and kind,
showing respect towards (দিকে/প্রতি) others, extending (বাড়ানো) help to the poor, being faithful to others
and cooperating (সহযোগিতা) with others. A person who has moral values is said to bear a
good character (চরিত্র). Moral values are a
pioneer (অগ্রগামী/অগ্রদূত); that every child learns from their
homes. What is wrong and what is right is something that we see and learn from
our parents and our own experiences (অভিজ্ঞতা). Many religions talk about moral values as part of
their belief
(বিশ্বাস) systems.
Moral values are essential (প্রয়োজনীয়) for all of us to make us live a life of a good human being. A society also instills (ধীরে ধীরে শিখানো) moral values. A
person grows up with the values which are displayed in his or her personality (e¨w³Z¡). Community plays a significant (তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ) role in influencing (প্রভাব) the moral values of individuals (ব্যক্তি/জন). Such values teach obedience (বাধ্যতা/আনুগত্য)
in the mind of a child. We need to bear right and
stable (স্থায়ী/টেকসই)
moral values. People
with high moral values are a very indispensable (অত্যাবশ্যক) asset (সম্পদ) to others and also the society. Moral
values give us character and strength (kw³). If each of us follows some moral values in life,
there would be peace and harmony (সম্প্রীতিি/ঐকতান). Besides, we shall have a bright (D¾¡j) future for the next generations (প্রজন্ম) as well.
