Police arrested four
muggers in the city on Wednesday night
They were identified as
Faruk, 19, Abdur Razzak, 18, Sajjad, 20, and Mithun, 22.
Mohammadpur police said
their patrol team challenged the four muggers while they were snatching from a
pedestrian at Kazi Nazrul Islam Road at around 11:30 pm.
As the criminals tried
to flee, police fired on them. Faruk received bullet in his right leg.
Police also caught
three other muggers and recovered a toy pistol and three knives from their
possessions. Faruk was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Assistant Sub-inspector
Hirok Kumar filed a case with Mohammadpur Police station in this connection.
