Report, March 17: Rajuk on 1 February carried out a
eviction in Malibag and Mouchak area. They cleared almost 100 illegal
structures. Besides, the authority demolished few unauthorized shops in place
of car parking.
The operation was led
by RAJUK official ASM Hasan Mahuamud and was carried out throughout the day.
Since morning, the eviction operation was carried out in Malibag, Mouchak and
against Padma tower. The large Bata show room in the basement parking of Padma
Tower was demolished by the bull-dodger. Similar unauthorized structures, show
room, shops and godown were also evicted. The Rajuk officials also demolished
the unauthorized shop in at the basement car parking of Mirror house. The
Magistrate informed that the owners though promised to shift their unauthorized
establishments, did not do so. A number of unauthorized stairs also demolished
in front of the buildings.
On the same day another
team of Rajuk, carried out its operation in Uttara, Gulshan Baridhara,
Dhanmondi, Tejgaon, Sahbag and many more places. The team examined design of
high rise buildings. IT is learned that the main task of this team is to
identify the unauthorized design to the structure in the city.
