Facebook is a social networking website. It has become one of the most popular social networking sites. American student Mark Zuckerburg founded (প্রতিষ্ঠা করল) Facebook in 2004. It started its journey as a social connection for Harvard University students. Then it got popularity(জনপ্রিয়তা) around the world. Now Facebook has more than 2.45 billion people. It is almost (প্রায়) half of the total population of the world. There are some interesting features (বৈশিষ্ট্য) in this platform. Now Facebook is using another platform Messenger for sending and receiving messages. Facebook has so many advantages (সুবিধা) in human life.
Like communication, it has brought a huge (বিশাল) change in the business format too. Now people can buy and sell their products through a Facebook page from their home. It is known as F-Commerce. Facebook is the perfect environment to stay connected. With the status updates, photos, and profile information, we can know updated information about our connected friends or relatives. Facebook helps us to know and meet new people easily. We can search for our friends with their name or mobile numbers. Using Facebook, one can express (প্রকাশ করা) one’s opinion (মতামত) easily and others can comment on that. Students can communicate with their mates (সহপাঠী), other students, and teachers and find answers to their questions. They can meet great teachers and educators and learn great things from them. Facebook has some disadvantages too. sometimes students spend too much time on social media. Because it is addictive (আসক্তি). They chat with the opposite (বিপরীত) sex person for a long time in the night. Less sleep becomes harmful to their health and study. We need to control (নিয়ন্ত্রন) our use of social media. Overall (সামগ্রিকভাবে) Facebook is a good platform for entertainment, education, communication, and business. We can make this place better with quality (গুণগত) content and behavior (আচরণ). We shouldn’t be aggressive (আক্রমনাত্নক) or offensive (আক্রমনাত্নক/অপরাধমূলক) with our language. So, we must be careful about using this social media. Otherwise (অস), it can be risky for us.
